POLITICS - In Brief PM summoned to restructure governmentThe PSD (Social-Democrat Party) summoned the Romanian PM yesterday to restructure the government by Easter or the political opposition would come up with parliamentary bill. The PSD leader Mircea Geoana argued: "We can't possible afford to continue with an unreliable government until Easter. The delay or postponement of a solution to this difficulty is just a temporary solution."
He claimed that, unless the PM presented a restructured government, they would make use of other means to settle the persisting crisis.
The Conservatives too asked the President of Romania again to resign so that Presidency wouldn't go through a scandal on suspending the head of state. Radu Berceanu, a vice president of the PD (Democrat Party), accused the Liberal PM of plotting a new government team together with the Social-Democrats and the Conservatives, without consulting the PD and the UDMR (Democrat Union of Magyars in Romania). He demanded PM Tariceanu to take the responsibility for the present situation and announce his wish to restructure the government the way the Social-Democrats, the Conservatives or the "Greater Romania" Party wanted.
