Romanian mess in the Parliament of Europe (I)
The evolution of those Romanian political parties affiliated to the EPP is fascinating. They are getting ready to unify those in Brussels, now too rigid in their fuss about doctrines and European political parties! They want to prove able to get those guys caught in the present. Our messy fellows are getting ready to join the EPP this Monday in a genuine structure of absolute sweetness. This is hazy even to those who think of themselves as...   (29 afisari)

Iran's less-is-more nuclear policy
The recent United States National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), which reports that Iran once had a "nuclear weapons program" but suspended it in 2003, means that there will probably be no American attack on Iran during the Bush administration. How could America's president explain to the world why he was bombing nuclear weapon facilities that his own intelligence services have said do not exist?
So, in all likelihood, the world has been spared a policy...   (17 afisari)

Vasile Puscas: Justice minister resigns because of criticism from EU
-- According to Social-Democrat deputy Vasile Puscas, the Romanian justice minister Tudor Chiuariu is resigning because of being aware of the Brussels evaluation of Romania, "critical of the way the rule of law works".

Labor minister doesn't resign
Romania's labor minister Paul Pacuraru informed yesterday that he had no intention to resign and take Justice minister Tudor Chiuariu for example.
Although on the Romanian President's black list and likely to be suspended, minister Pacuraru argued that the criminal case against him was "made up" and included no crime he could be charged with.
Still he added that, did the PM ask him to resign, he wouldn't oppose his wish. (...) (C.A.)   (22 afisari)

Health minister is thrifty
The Romanian health minister Eugen Nicolaescu has kept it hidden from Romanians that they get medical treatment in EU hospitals. The 5,5 million Euro saved up at the cost of human lives reached the pockets of the clientele in the field.
For 11 months Romanians didn't have access to European fill-in forms guaranteeing the right to medical treatment meeting EU standards. But there emerged the unfortunate case of little Sebastian and the famous E 112...   (27 afisari)

Mircea Geoana says PSD won't take over

China is a threat to Romanian honey
The honey produced in China and sold cheap in Europe is the greatest threat to Romanian apiarists, says Eugen Zorici, a president of the Association of Romanian Apiarists.
He explains: "According to estimations, in 2025 China too will get to import honey because industry is significantly developing and villagers are heading cities. There will be fewer apiarists, less honey will be produced and it won't even be enough for their domestic...   (27 afisari)
