The truth about the 1989 Revolution and the coal miners' attacks in June 1990 was buried once and for all. The Constitutional Court did this yesterday by forbidding military prosecutors to investigate on civilians. Dan Voinea, the man in charge of the respective cases for 17 years, is a general. Just like ZIUA anticipated yesterday, the Constitutional Court decided last Wednesday that Paragraph 2 of Article 3 in Law 356/ 2006 on the modification of the Criminal Procedure Code regarding military prosecutors' attributions in cases investigating on military staff and civilians was unconstitutional.

Politicians appreciate Constitutional Court decision
Romanian politicians don't share views on the Constitutional Court's decision to declare unconstitutional the article on military prosecutors' attributions in cases investigating on civilians.

PSD-PNL bargain
PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu, a president of the PNL (National Liberal Party), met yesterday with Mircea Geoana, president of the PSD (Social-Democrat Party), to talk about the latter party's law draft on the raise of pensions for the Romanian retired. Still the two sides reached no agreement.

PSD takes over TVR again
The newly validated members in the TVR (Romanian Public Television Network) board decided unanimously to recommend Alexandru Sassu to become a general president of the TVR. Alexandru Sassu is the choice of the PSD (Social-Democrat Party).
