Providential opinion leaders pick fights
Who are you with? The answer to this obsessively repeated question is one criterion that splits Romanian society in sides. This seems to me an 'upgraded' version of the hysterics in the early 90s. An aggressive comeback, even more dangerous than the first feverish contact with 'democracy'. We don't seem to have really learned something in the last 17 years. Political passion has once again harmed out reason. Instead of dialogue, we get trash. Instead...

The volume is made up of the speeches authored by Hans-Gert pottering, president of the Parliament of Europe. The Romanian foreign minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu is attending the event. Iliescu claimed yesterday that the committee wasn't aimed at investigating on the President, but only at finding more arguments to get him suspended. According...
Except for Emil Boc, no party head attends Cotroceni consultations
The President of Romania Traian Basescu is opening his consultations with parliamentary parties today. They are aimed at an analysis of the uninominal poll versions parties like and support. This is meant to change the system of electing both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Except for Emil Boc, president of the PD (Democrat Party), the head of no parliamentary party will attend debates, as it is the vice presidents...

The ex presidency adviser is guilty of the same deeds that the accuseds in the 'Spy Case' are charged with. Prosecutor Ciprian Nastasiu, the man in charge of the latter case, decided that some of the people charged had committed traffic of influence in favor of the ALRO so that the company...
