Under the coordination of Ludovic Orban and Crin Antonescu, the "radical" leaders of the PNL (National Liberal Party) will be trying to push things to get senator Norica Nicolai appointed a Romanian Justice minister in the first meeting of the Liberals' Central Political Committee, PNL sources say. It is to be mentioned that neither PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu nor Bogdan Olteanu, a speaker for the Chamber of Deputies, wants the senator to take over the Ministry of Justice.
Such different opinions on the future head of Romanian Justice can cause the conflict between the governmental leaders and the radical ones to intensify. Sources also claim that those party vice presidents supporting senator Norica Nicolai may ask that ministers Paul Pacuraru and Cristian Adomnitei too should be dismissed. Norica Nicolai is to return to the country today, after attending the reunion of the NATO Political Committee in the US. (...) (R.G.)
