The Royal Family of Serbia, namely Prince Alexander II of Serbia and Yugoslavia together with his wife, Her Royal Highness Princess Ecaterina, are the guests of the Romanian Royal Family these days. (...) One of the objectives they visited yesterday was the Royal Castle in Sinaia.
Prince Alexander, born in exile, is the grandniece of Queen Mary, just like Princess Margareta of Romania. The Royal Family of Serbia returned to Belgrade in July 2001, after having spent almost 60 years in exile. They live in the Royal Palace that used to be the residence of King Alexander I and Peter II. Monarchy was illegally abolished in Yugoslavia in 1945 and the country got to be headed by the Communists for more than four decades. (D.P.)
