The PSD (Social-Democrat Party) wants to organize referendum on the Bordei Park issue. The PSD spokesman Cristian Diaconescu announced it yesterday. He said the party would start procedures on it unless the General Council of Bucharest reached a solution to bring the park at juridical standstill.
The PSD official announced: "We are asking state institutions to take attitude at it. They are obviously making each other responsible for the situation. There are several opinions and the general mayor of Bucharest together with other officials involved are trying to get away with it. Unless the General Council comes up with a solution, we will use referendum to ask citizens' opinion on what is going on with the green areas in Bucharest. We must absolutely have civic attitude at it, apart from some people's wish to get property." (...) (R.A.)
