Romanian deputies and senators are likely to meet twice next week to tackle the suspension of the President of Romania Traian Basescu and his request for a referendum on the uninominal vote. Social-Democrat Ioan Muntean, a secretary of the Chamber of Deputies, announced it yesterday.
He mentioned that the MPs would no longer be analyzing the initiative to suspend the head of state this week, because the Constitutional Court hadn't sent to the Parliament the motivation to last week's decision that to suspend the President would be unconstitutional. (...) (R.G.)
