UDMR pleads for difference between "victims" and "hangmen"
Romanian communication minister Nagy Zsolt and UDMR (Democrat Union of Magyars in Romania) deputy Kelemen Hunor stated yesterday while in Cluj that there was an attempt to lead to a confusion on people who had collaborated with the ex Securitate (Communist Secret Service in Romania) and those watched by the latter.
The two UDMR officials pleaded for the need to make a clear difference between the "victims" and the "hangmen". They opined that those guilty of such ambiguity were those who contributed to the release of the list with the names of 29 MPs suspected of collaboration with ex Securitate, along with the people having information on the CNSAS (National Council for Research on the Communist Secret Service Archive) verdicts before the latter were announced. The communication minister commented: "Mr. deputy Gusa is one of them. He gets such information a few days before. How come no one has been wondering how he gets it?" The UDMR deputy opined lustration should start with the President of Romania and continue till the mayor of the smallest locality in Romania in order to be efficient. (NewsIn)
